A girl once smiled
and the whole room smiled with her
you ask people about her
and they would say things
things that she wants to be
but if you ask her
she will not answer
because she knows inside
that she is none of those things
and that she needed someone
she begged for someone to push her walls over
and hold her
and love her

No one asked her that question
no one cared
and now that girl is sad
and alone
it gets harder and harder
for her to lie to herself
it's eating her up day after day
and the next day
as red tears rolled to the floor
she closed her eyes
and realized how alone she is
that she'll never be anyone else
and with that
her eyes never opened ever again
